Biosketch:

Claudia Crocini obtained her PhD at the University of Florence where she used advanced imaging methods to study excitation-contraction coupling in heart failure and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. She then did her postdoc at the University of Colorado Boulder in the Leinwand Lab, working on sex differences, mechanisms of physiological cardiac hypertrophy, cardiac fibrosis. She started her independent research group at the Charite' Berlin in 2023 focusing on cardiac mechanotransduction and sex diffences.
